It's been a while since we last ate Korean food together and he seems so excited with our meal at here. Since there are only two of us, we could not order too many choice of dish which i think brought him down a little bit.
The marinated BBQ pork is very moist and tender. All the barbecues were done by the staff, and the grilling plate was turned over for a fresh one for every new meat. I suppose it's just so the flavours of the meats don't get mixed, but they might as well, because they all had the same sweetish bulgogi-tasting seasoning.
I generally like this stir-fries sauteed vermicelli with shredded mushrooms, carrots, spinach, black fungus and strips of lean pork. It is not too oily and the taste is pretty decent as well.
This spicy kimchi stew with pork was above average and better than most of other Korean restaurant that offers same dish. It has rich broth with equal parts spicy and sour, together with beancurd, clams and pork. Furthermore this dish is much affordable than we expected.
I have to say that Hyang To Gol did changed my perception towards korean cuisince as they are not only all about spiciness or sourness, they made the dishes just nice enough for my preference flavor. If one ask me to come back to this place to enjoy Korean cuisine in the future, i will never say no.
