Bumbu Bali

Tomorrow we will be going back to Singapore, but I will never want to miss any chance to taste great food in Malaysia, therefore we are literally begging for my cousin to bring us to eat something different and unique, a cuisine that we haven’t taste yet.

My cousin ask us how about Balinese food, I said yes right away without further thoughts as I never taste Balinese cuisine before. This time it is not a shopping mall but instead he brought us to Puchong, a residential & commercial area.

Their interior design is rather special and captivating, we can see a lot of their cultures from the look of their decoration. Although it is not air-conditioned but the air flow is rather cool and fresh, it does really feel like having a meal in real Bali’s vacation resort.

Barley Lime

It is something I never had before, it is refreshing, slightly sour and taste just nice! I already have it drank into half before any serving of our main courses.

Nasi Campur Bumbu Bali

My cousin ordered this for me, and I was so shock when it serves in front of me due to its huge portion, there is no way for me to finish it all. But its fragrance already caught me into drools and I can’t wait to savors it.

This glorious place consists of white rice, chicken rendang, squid, two big slices of fried fish, two huge fresh prawns, a lemongrass satay, sauteed kangkung, crackers, fruits and their very own sambal.

The most special item on this plate would be the lemongrass satay, minced meat is wrapped around a stalk of lemongrass and then barbecued like a common satay. I can tasted the aroma of lemongrass in the meat which is very savory and can’t help but craves for more.

A big thanks to my cousin for introducing us such a great Balinese food and I am 100% satisfied with Bumbu Bali. This is my first time trying Balinese cuisine and it would not be my last, after I back to Singapore I will definitely go locate one in Singapore and hopefully there is a better one as well. I will always miss the food in Malaysia and counting on our next visit.
